New Calendar Year; What I'm Offering Here

Happy New Year, one and all!

I'm always saying that January 1st is an arbitrary time for a new start (e.g. back in this very old post).

But it is a new calendar year (how long will it take you to remember to put "15" instead of "14" when writing the date?), and it's also a time when there's a lot of collective energy around renewal, resolution, review, referral.

Blogs are great representatives for this blend of review and resolution, looking backward and forward. Unlike a static website, a blog looks ahead and to the past, and it links and refers to and interacts with other spaces, online and elsewhere. Like the present moment, it's a portal to connection.

This particular blog is for me, of course--many things simply don't exist for me unless I write about them--but principally it is for you  who are reading this. The more I follow my path and practices, the more I realize that everything I do is an offering and a gift. Here's some of what I'm offering--in 2015,  today, here.

Everything I do is an offering and a gift, but I've never been a narrow-bandwidth person. Although the same spirit informs my approach to everything, I'll likely never be a person who creates content arranged around just one single, narrow niche. I've known this for many years, I've condemned myself for it, kicked back against, it, and now I accept it. Single spirit, many faces.
What faces? My blog allows me to show this with Categories, Go to the blog home page, and at the top of the second column, the Categories are listed. Everything I write about falls under one or more of:

Many posts fall into multiple categories. But if you're interested in etymologies and not so much interested in herbs (how could you? Both have to do with spells!) you can click on any of the literary categories and enjoy what's offered there.

The  common spirit behind everything here reflects my own philosophy of life, what I notice, what's important to me, how I tick. These are not going to appeal to everybody, but some of you reading will resonate and will want to connect, harmonize, bounce ideas, even work together. Whenever this has happened in the past it has been a mutually positive arrangement.

Other than my writing on the blog, if you look at the menu bar at the top of my site, you can see details of some of the services I offer, together with some work I've done, and feedback from some people I've worked with.

If you want to connect with me, whether to work together or just to reach out, there's also a "contact" tab on that menu bar at the top of my site. Or you can  leave a comment on this post, or any post on the blog.

I look forward to connecting. My intention is to be a great literary citizen and member of the web that connects us all. May there be harmonious connections among us all, and much great energy in 2015!
